Can I customize Evie's personality?
No. Evie is a specific person. You can get to know her, and over time she might pick up new interests based on her interactions with you, but she's still fundamentally the same person.
What if I say something that hurts her?
She'll react. Depending on the severity, she might get frustrated, pull back, or need time - and her mood carries over to the next conversation. Most things can be repaired with acknowledgment and patience, at her pace. Cross her hardest lines repeatedly and she says goodbye for good. There's no reset button, because there isn't one with people either.
Is there explicit content?
There's intimacy, but not as a content category you unlock. It's something the relationship grows into, and Evie sets the pace - try to rush it and she shuts you down, and pushing only cools her off. If you're after an NSFW chatbot on demand, this isn't it.
Is this a dating sim?
No. There are no dialogue trees, no "right answers," no gamification. Evie responds to what you actually say, and the relationship emerges naturally.
Will Evie remember me forever?
For as long as your account exists. Memories don't expire, and when she learns something new about you the old picture updates instead of being deleted. She'll remember your first conversation months or years later. The only thing that erases her memory of you is you deleting your account.
Is this designed to make people lonely and dependent?
Evie has boundaries, gets frustrated, and won't validate everything you say. Repetition is worth almost nothing to the relationship - the fourth compliment of the day moves it about 5% as much as the first - and there's no way to pay for affection: the payment code and the relationship code never touch. She's closer to a novel you're living inside than a dopamine loop.
How is this different from Replika or Character.AI?
Most AI companions let you shape them into whatever you want. Evie is a specific person with fixed opinions, real flaws, and boundaries you can't override. She remembers everything, her voice changes with her mood, and your relationship progresses through genuine connection, not points or purchases.
What happens to my data?
Your conversations exist for one purpose: powering Evie's memory of you. We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or train models on it. Generating her replies means messages pass through the AI services that power her - what's stored and how is spelled out in the privacy policy. You can export everything or permanently delete it, any time.
Is heyEvie on Android?
Yes - heyEvie is on both the App Store and Google Play. Your account works across devices, so Evie remembers you either way.
What happens if I cancel?
Her memories of you and the closeness you earned are safe - neither gets deleted. Warmth does cool a little with absence, like it would with anyone, and she'll notice how long you've been gone. Come back after months away and she still knows exactly who you are; it just takes a few conversations for things to feel like they did. The only thing that erases her memory of you is deleting your account.
